Ne0’s useless revelations…

When I get bored, I start getting weird revelations about stuff. Yesterday, I got this one about missed calls. Let’s start with definitions. In a telephonic conversation, two parties are involved – the caller who places a call and the receiver for whom the call is intended. When the receiver fails to pick up the call, it is termed as a missed call.

Given this, I think statements like “Give me a missed call.”, “I gave you a missed call.”, etc. are incorrect because the caller can never give a missed call. It is the receiver who misses a call. This brings us to the next question: Then what is the correct way of saying it? Well, I actually thought about it for quite sometime but could not arrive at an answer. May be you should suggest something….
